The journey is complete!

A 6am start on the final day saw the team trek to the Kokoda Plateau to inspect the 39^th Battalion's defensive position. Breakfast at Kokoda airfield followed. The team had finally made it.

The Kokoda Mateship Trekkers then bordered a charter flight from Kokoda to Port Moresby where they visited the Bomana War Cemetery. The trek was capped with a special celebration dinner.

The team will fly back to Sydney on Monday, May 4. Congratulations to all Kokoda Mateship Trekkers!
